WEEK 1 🧭 The ticket pile and the customers
Why platforms, platform as a product, golden paths. Lab: change the office's capacity; add an interview; scaffold with bad names.
🏁 Checkpoint: you can explain why a queue that is one request a day short never recovers, and rank a roadmap from interviews.
WEEK 2 📇 The register and the menu
Service catalog, self-service infrastructure, preview environments. Lab: adopt an orphan; change a team's quota; try other TTLs and caps.
🏁 Checkpoint: you can find a blast radius, and explain what makes self-service and on-demand environments safe and affordable.
WEEK 3 🚚 Roads, keys and rules
Paved pipelines, secrets and config, policy as code. Lab: release a new pipeline version; rotate a secret twice; add a sixth policy rule.
🏁 Checkpoint: you can say what @v2, @v2.0.0 and a copy each run, and write a rule that explains its fix.
WEEK 4 🏅 Cards, numbers, one desk
Scorecards, measuring, the developer portal. Lab: fix a service to gold; compute DORA for your own week; build a portal page.
🏁 Checkpoint: 🏆 Capstone: design the facilities office for a school of 30 teams: the first three kits (from interviews), the catalog fields, quotas, preview TTL, pipeline versioning, five guardrails, a scorecard — and how you will show, honestly, that it helped.
