WEEK 1 🛎️ The office, its kinds, its desks

Why a gateway, REST vs HTTP vs WebSocket, routes. Lab: add a route; call /students/me and /students/7; try DELETE.

WEEK 2 📝 Forms, rehearsals, badges

Validation and mapping, stages, auth. Lab: send three bad bodies; call dev and prod; forge, expire and mis-address a JWT.

WEEK 3 🚦 Limits, notice board, browsers

Throttling, caching, CORS. Lab: change burst to 3; watch the cache miss after 301 s; preflight from two origins.

WEEK 4 📈 Names, numbers, edges

Custom domains, monitoring, private/WAF/limits. Lab: read the access log; make the report route time out; run the gateway on localhost and curl it.

🏁 Checkpoint: 🏆 Capstone: design the school's public API: HTTP or REST, JWT auth, a usage plan for partners, cache on GET /students/{id}, CORS for the web app, a custom domain and three alarms — and write the test for each.
